2013 Domestic Violence Walk In Wingate Park

About Us

Mother, author, mentor and philanthropist Jacqueline Rowe established Face My Abuse(FMA), an organization to address domestic violence against women and girls. Since 2006 FMA has been increasing awareness, promoting effective policies and implementing potent strategies for prevention and intervention. Our sole mission is to advance the health, education and security of women and girls all over the world. With a focus on building healthy sustainable relationships, FMA defies domestic violence and its impact on not only the victim but by extension the family as a whole transcending the community.

Face My Abuse is a domestic violence support group that aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have experienced domestic violence. Our group is open to both men and women who have been affected by domestic abuse, whether it be physical, emotional, or psychological.

At Face My Abuse, we understand the importance of healing and recovery from the trauma of domestic violence. Our support group offers a platform for survivors to share their experiences, express their emotions, and receive empathy and understanding from others who have gone through similar situations.

Through group discussions, educational resources, and professional guidance, we strive to empower survivors to regain control of their lives and break the cycle of abuse. Our support group also focuses on building resilience, self-esteem, and healthy coping mechanisms to help survivors move forward and rebuild their lives.

In addition to providing emotional support, Face My Abuse also offers information on legal rights, safety planning, and resources for counseling and shelter services. We believe in the importance of education and awareness to prevent domestic violence and promote healthy relationships.

If you or someone you know has experienced domestic violence, we encourage you to join Face My Abuse. Together, we can face the abuse, heal, and create a future free from violence.
